Scorpio New Moon 2024

The Integrative Power of Diwali, Samhain, and the Harvest Season

Scorpio is known for its, ummmmmmm, extremeemotions. What it likes, it likes a lot. What it does not like, it would rather destroy than endure. It is precisely that passion that helps Scorpio to power both the Harvest Season and the holiest time of year for many cultures.

When highly evolved, integrated and actualized, Scorpio is impersonal, unselfish, and imaginative. Scorpio is scientifically-minded, research-oriented, intellectually penetrating, executive of bearing and demeanor, drawn to occult spirituality, and prone to investigating all the mysteries and secrets of the multi-verse.

When less highly evolved, integrated and actualized, Scorpio is secretive, quick-tempered, self-indulgent and skews slightly paranoid.  And an unevolved, unintegrated and unevolved Scorpio is genuinely paranoid and suspicious, they can be cruel and vindictive, and project their own dark thoughts and energy onto everyone and everything.

That’s just a lot.

This year, with the added intensity of a Diwali (the festival of that celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil), four planets retrograde, two grand trines, and the tail end of a hyper-charged election season, things just feel, ummmmmmmextreme. It is no wonder that many of us are feeling like the universe is not so gently pushing us into the deeper end of the cosmic pool. It is.

And at Harvest Season.

The tricky part about the Harvest is so darn confrontational. You reap what you sow. And even if you can embrace the concept, it is just hard to figure out the cause and effect of it all. This is where the depth and power of Scorpio is your greatest ally. Especially at the New Moon.

The good news is, the Scorpio New Moon was Friday at 5:47 a.m. Pacific Time. So, if there was ever a time one could legitimately be hopeful that one could learn how to be more masterful at navigating the more difficult waters of life on this planet, it is now. Be clear on your specific intentions, ask your Gods, Guides, Guardians, Angels and Ancestors to help you. Say thank you. A lot.  And if you get stuck, call me.

We’ll figure it out.
