You always feel like a month of Mondays. Blue Mondays. The shorter, colder days that are slowly, almost imperceptibly getting longer. The longer, colder nights that are slowly, almost imperceptibly getting shorter. And the promise of warmth in the coming spring.
Oh, midwinter!
The shorter days. The longer nights. The colder temperatures. And our celebrations: Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, the Winter Solstice, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day. Celebrations of hope, of all the darkness holds, and of the soon to be returning light.
One of the hardest things about being an astrologer is helping folks manage the rare moments when there are a lot of planetary retrogrades over the holiday season.
